How many people do you know who have names exactly like (or close to) names of characters in L&C?

I have a student whose name is William Henderson. The first time I saw the class roster, I almost started laughing right in front of class!

Well, Malu, this isn't the name of an L&C character, but I think you'll find it's close enough. I used to work with a Dean Quain. No kidding! I'm dead serious. He looked like he could've replaced Tom Welling in Smallville. Drove a red mustang with a Superman plate on the front too.

My nephew. First name from a surname on his mom's side- clark middle name after my grandfather -perry. I wasn't into Lois & Clark when he was born thank goodness. However, he is in first grade and LOVES superman.

My friend met a guy named Kent Clark. I immediately asked, "Is he cute? Is he single? Can he fly?"

I remembered another one. In my last job as a waitress, the kitchen had two sides to the 'line' on which all the food was prepared. Thus one cook per side. If Joe and Bob are working...we'd say Joe and Bob are on the line today. Well...my favorite days were when I could say "Laine and Kent are on the line." They didn't think it was so funny, but I got a kick out of it everytime.

Well, I met with Chris Cain yesterday - DC's Dad . Okay, so he's not an L&C character, and actually my Chris (a colleague at work) spells his surname 'Caine', but hey, that's close enough, isn't it?

How about a pharmacology professor named Lois Lane? Does that count?
Only pharmacology professor that I went to every lecture...and it had nothing to do with the subject or quality of the lectures; I just HAD to have the handouts with the name Lois Lane on them.

I dated a guy with the last name Kent. I of course, called him Kent when I was teasing. He used to in turn call me Lane.

He used to say he had lots in common with Superman: he's named Kent, from the midwest, wore glasses, majored in journalism, then moved to the big city (New York).

I have a friend named Lex that recently turned shady...turns out he's not the most trustowrthy guy ever...maybe the name is just cursed.

I just remembered, I was in choir with a guy named Clark, my Supervisor's last name is White, my Choir teacher's last name is Lane, there is a bastard, plagerising scum bag at the local newspaper whos last name is Scardino, the editor of the school newspaper's name is Dan, My mother's name is Ellen, and I am a journalism majo, Lois's initials when she married Clark were LLK, and mine are MMK, so it's a little similar.

Isn't that just the best way to choose classes - find a name you can associate with LnC and take the class - regardless. <g>

I think we had a lecturer first year that was a "White" and I know my sister was going to school with a really, really cute Dean. <g>

One of my distant cousins' name is Dean. 'Course, he's a little boy, but still. One of the teachers in my school is Mr White - although there are many, many differences between him and Perry! Also, I know a guy whose first name is Kent - and he happens to be one of the very few people in RL who agree with me that L&C is awesome. He also doesn't drink or smoke or anything like that and used to get straight A's in high school - I told him once I'm going to call him Clark from now on, and he said I would't be the first! <g>

Nor on my first name which, according to my mother's explanations, is definitely Clark related because of... Carole Lombard. Okay, then it's Clark Gable related!

Oh, and there's also this Lois jewellery firm that comes to mind.

I worked with a manager with the name Lois in the past.

I knew a Dean at work too. Unfortunatley he was not cute. He looked more like Mario out of Super Mario Bros. Okay, not that fat.

My last name is one letter off, but it is close to K. Callan. (Callin) I had to do a double take when I first saw it.

My grandfather's name is Bernard (but prounced BERNerd not BernARD like they do in North America). I went to school with a BernARD. I'm sorry but I can't remember Dr. Klien's spelling....I'll go look now.

My daughter's best friend lives on a road that intersects with "Kent Lane" , but that's about as Lois and Clarky as my life gets. If it's any consolation my daughter's best friend looks like Harry Potter.

Well, there's a little tiny road right next to the library where I work called "Lois Lane." I want to take a picture of myself and visiting folcs by the sign for the road, but because of standard abbreviations they write it as "LOIS LA," which isn't nearly as fun. Not a person, but roads have names, so they count, right? Maybe I'm unusual in the fact that I can't think of anyone I know named Clark, Lois, Perry, Jimmy, Mayson, Kent, Lane, White, or Olsen. I know a few Jonathans and Marthas, but those are such common names, they hardly count for anything.

Oh! And I remembered one night where I had to checked in a hotel. I had no reservation and didn't want to present an ID or credit card print. They checked me in anyway, and as 'Client categorie' code, they put LOIS.

Speaking of LC related stuff, my 'international RL' friends often ask me why I stick to Air France when I fly. There are lots of reasons. The main being the first music that greats you when you board one of their plane is an instrumental version of...'Fly me to the moon'.

I used to be Karla Kent, when I was married with Cole Kent ( yes, C.K too---LOL) I was obsessed with superman just as now and He used to tell me that he was my Superman....but sadly he died before our first aniversary in a car accident, I suppose he wasnt him after all I miss him so much. But it was 9 years ago, almost 10, I was 18 years, and now I will be 28 in november.

I am married again (now with a mexican) so my name is not that anymore.

I used to think that if i had a son with Cole I was going to call him Clark, but it wasnt possible.

I have two daughers now...and not, the names are not L & C related

My last name is Callin. Not pronouced Collin. It is like Cal, like Kal-El and then in. I had to do a double take the first time I heard it.

On the Ashlee Simpson Show (lame) there is a producer or something with the name Lois Clark ????. Last name I don't know. I have to go look it up. V. weird.

I met a guy on the internet last month. His name is Louis Kent. I told him I wouldn't be calling him Louis because for me it's a girls name. He suggested I could call him Clark. I went like Cool, uh? So now we´re virtually hanging out.

This thread got me to realize that one of my profs has the last name "Callan" same as K. Callan's last name. And then I realized he has the same hair colour as K. Callan. After some internet searching, I found a reference where K. Callan mentioned her son has a ph.d. degree. Finally finding the nerve one day to ask my prof's wife (who is also my research advisor's secretary) whether there is any relationship between him and K. Callan, it turns out that my prof is actually K. Callan's son! (My department is fairly small because it only has graduate students, so all the students and profs know each other and we bring our families to dept parties.)

In the "Virtually Destroyed" episode that Dean Cain wrote...X under disguise as "Clark" in the virtual world, yells out several names that Lex and Lois were going to name their kids if they had any. One of those names is Alexis...and that happens to be my real name!

I have a computer wav of Clark saying my name. For a while there I had it set it up so it sounded like my computer was talking back to me. It actually confused my mom a couple of times too.

Bumping this back up to the top cause I met a new one.

There's a new guy at work, goes by TJ. I asked if I could call him TEEEJ and he said that was fine. /me snickers... Anyway, turns out his last name is Clark. And you know what his dad's name is? (He told me cause I was amused by the Clark thing). Kent. Kent Clark, father of TEEEJ.

My prof for Immunology this last quarter was Dr. Lane

During my job I get orders via email. One email came in like this (partially deleted to maintain privacy)

So of course I went a little silly thinking "Who do I know well enough that would mess with me like this?"

But then I opened the order and found out it was a legitimate email addy, but I could only see the first part because address is so long.

Well, an old classmate of mine was named "Dan" and earlier this week a woman named "Lois" came to my school and held a small presantation.
To be honest, I don't remember much of the presentation. I kept staring on her business card she'd handed out to us...

At my college newspaper where I work, there is a reporter named Clark and a photographer named Dean

Oh, and I just relised: I share the same initials as Clark. So, yep. Call me C.K. everyone!
