KathyB was talking about this older fic… and now I’m dying to find it and re-read it, but we can’t remember the title! There was a hilarious short fanfic way back when about there actually having been a whole string of Jimmy's who keep getting killed in increasingly outrageous ways and Lois being like, "Geez, he needs to stop dying! I'm running out of new Jimmy's!" With Jimmy 1 and 2 actually being more like 21 and 22. And Clark was like "And Perry really never notices?" "Nah, as long as he gets his coffee and his golf cart fixed, he doesn't look too closely" FYI—she won’t swear to these being 100% accurate details, nor exact quotes.  Sara

Totally unrelated, but the description of the fic makes me think of a movie called The Gamers that has a similar event in it...it's absolutely hilarious and geeky!

Michael—I did a few cursory searches with no luck. Definitely not one of the ones that starts with J, either. PuffyTiger—lol! I’ll have to check it out sometime! Okay, now I’m really curious why dcarson is hiding… lol Deadly Chakram—OMG that’s right!!  Shallowford—LOL! That should have been the first place I looked! I scrolled through the blurbs for allllllll of Tank’s fics and even looked through some of the more promising sounding ones…and still no dice.

In The Gamers the one player just keeps playing the same character. Character gets killed he just makes an identical one. His character also gets killed a lot because he is bad at it and the GM doesn't care because it is always the same one. So in a big fight after his bards been killed about 20 times he hides behind the ple of dead bards so he won't get hit again.

Did anyone try putting Jimmy and deathfic into the search bar in the Fanfic Darabase on the Archive? I tried but there’s no search facility from my iPad. Worth a try, maybe?
