Hi FoLCs,

hope this wasn't brought up before, but I may have a solution / suggestion to Lois burning water.

What if she accidentally started electrolysis in her cooking water (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrolysis_of_water#Fundamental_demonstration) and produced Oxyhydrogen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxyhydrogen) which then exploded when the O re-combined with two H.

We never did these kind of experiments so I just skipped Wikipedia, but can it really be as simple as pouring baking soda into a pop and adding electric current? Lois could easily mix up baking soda and salt while preparing pasta and then some kitchen appliance lands in the pot and there's a faulty fuse and/or no grounding and the thing starts an electrolysis process and boom!

Michael, this is hilarious!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
