Lois buring water - 07/27/22 07:52 PM
Hi FoLCs,
hope this wasn't brought up before, but I may have a solution / suggestion to Lois burning water.
What if she accidentally started electrolysis in her cooking water (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrolysis_of_water#Fundamental_demonstration ) and produced Oxyhydrogen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxyhydrogen ) which then exploded when the O re-combined with two H.
We never did these kind of experiments so I just skipped Wikipedia, but can it really be as simple as pouring baking soda into a pop and adding electric current? Lois could easily mix up baking soda and salt while preparing pasta and then some kitchen appliance lands in the pot and there's a faulty fuse and/or no grounding and the thing starts an electrolysis process and boom!
