Close your eyes if you haven't taken the quiz yet!What's interesting about 'supersede' is that the derivation is this: Middle English superceden, to postpone, from Old French superceder, from Latin supersedre, to refrain from : super-, super- + sedre, to sit; see sed- in Indo-European Roots. So anyone who thought it was spelled 'supercede' is, in one sense, even more right than the rest of us.  Yvonne

It's not spelled supercede???? But, but, but... man, just when I thought I was doing pretty good, you have to go and throw that at me... *goes off to sob in a corner* PJ who's main exposure to this word was in the game of Payday... "Supercede your old seeds with new improved Superseeds!"

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.
