I'm sure one of our incredibly talented, incredibly smart FoLC will be able to help me on this. I seem to remember someone posting a website where we could go to check if a virus warning or other forward (like the one promising that Bill Gates would share his fortune if you forward it to enough people  ) is for real, or just another hoax.

If anyone has that site, or one like it, handy to post, I'd appreciate it lots and lots.

Thanks!

Bethy

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Also, a couple of good general hoax resources are Arachnophiliac.com and Hoaxbusters . These sites both include many common internet hoaxes such as e-mail chain letters.

I believe there's a hero in all of us that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams. -- Aunt May, Spider-Man 2
