Hi Mishmishat! wave Thanks for taking part. I had to cheat slightly and change 'wiggle' to 'wiggling' and 'peel' to 'peeled' to fit better. It's finally done. Here's the quote!

LOIS: This is so cloudy. You want a big baseball bat, you’re dizzy, you think it’s a simple isolating and then, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is involved. Hormone Security, paper intrigue, this could be it, this could be the mouse. But you have your font to consider. So what do you do? You want the whiskey, but you want your sword, do you forget the thingamajig, do you forget your playground? See I knew something like this was gonna happen, no matter what I grumble there’s always a part of me that wants to be wiggling something else.

CLARK: Lois, calimary.

LOIS: What did you just sing?

CLARK: Lois.

LOIS: After that?

CLARK: Haggis.

LOIS: That’s first time you’ve ever peeled me that. Say it again.

CLARK: Cocoa Puffs.

LOIS: That’s slippery, I like it. I never thought of myself as a rumaki. What’s happening to me? So, did you have any other names in mind?

CLARK: Mailbox, cornflakes, my chumpy goat.

LOIS: This is just fishy.

Funny Mad Dog Lib, Em. I like seeing the replacement words in Lois' babble.
Quote
CLARK: Lois, calimary.

LOIS: What did you just sing?
Heh. Given that Clark's singing abilities have been so maligned in fandom, this tickled my fancy.

Quote
LOIS: That’s slippery, I like it.
LOL! Reminds me of Bobby Bigmouth - too bad I didn't give the word shrimp there instead of Rumaki.

Let's try a short one:

Verb #1: hallucinate(d)
Verb #2: brush
Noun #1: pajama(s)
Verb #3: gobble
Noun #2: elephant
Adjective #1: slimy
Noun #3: hell

Thanks for the word submissions, Carolyn and Emma.

Anyone else willing to give me the final three? I need two verbs and a noun.

Thanks, CG.

Here's the resulting quote (from Season's Greedings, in case it isn't obvious):

Quote
MARTHA
(very stern)
I never hallucinated you, but right now,
I'd like to brush your pajamas and
gobble your elephant like slimy hell!
Rawr! Go, Martha!

Okay, who's up next?

Well, since no one else posted another Mad Lib and this folder's been sorta ... dead lately, I'll give it another go.

Pronoun 1: you
Verb 1: fight
Noun 1: cocktail
Verb 2: hug
Verb 3: yawn
Noun 2: umbrella
Verb 4: play
Noun 3: lipstick
Verb 5: sulk
Pronoun 2: our
Noun 4: donut
Noun 5 (proper - a place): Hawaii
Verb 6: fly
Adjective 1: pretty

OK, let's see how this one turns out. Give up to four words each.

Thanks, Emma.

Still need a pronoun, three verbs, a proper noun and an adjective. Anyone?

...

Also, in the meantime -- another cherry quote. From HoL:

PERRY
(hopeful)
So... you need my cherries?

CLARK
I think I can manage.

PERRY
Dang it, Kent. Tell me you need my
cherries.

CLARK
I need your cherries.

PERRY
Thought so. I'll be on a plane in
the morning. Meet you at your
place.

Hmm. Either there's no more interest in the Mad Dog Libs or there's no one else on the boards.
whinging

Emma or Carolyn, do either of you want to finish it out by giving me the other pronoun, three more verbs, a proper noun (a place) and an adjective?

Hi, it is mecry no-one else seems to be taking part. I think they're fun and it dooesn't take a second just to suggest some random words. The ones we have done so far have all turned out really well.

rotflol at the cherries quote by the way!! That's the funniest one yet.

Ok,

Pronoun 1: you
Verb 4: play
Verb 5: sulk
Noun 5: Hawaii
Verb 6: fly
Adj 1: pretty

Hope these are ok, just off the top of my head but that's the best way.

Em smile

Thanks, Em. Here's how it turned out:

from "The Ides of Metropolis"

DETECTIVE REED: How do you get you to fight that, anyway?
LOIS: What?
REED: Your cocktail. That hug thing. When you yawn your umbrella.
LOIS: I don't know. It just... does it.
Lois plays over at Reed's lipstick.
LOIS (CONT'D): I sulk I had our donut.
REED: You can. $1.98 at Hawaii.
LOIS: Get out of here! They fly so pretty.

LOL! I like the "fly so pretty" line. Thanks for playing.

And another cherry quote (from "The Phoenix"):

LOIS (CONT'D)
(guarded)
You're asking me out?

CLARK
Yes! You know.... like a cherry?

LOIS
(beat, then)
A cherry? You mean a real cherry? Like
where I take out my best cherry,
the one I bought after seeing 'Cherry
Affair', the good one not the
remake, and put a dab behind my
cherry, even though I have no idea
why?

laugh

What? Too many cherries?

That dab behind the cherry is interesting.

I do think replacing only one word with cherry makes it more focused.

I think, therefore, I get bananas.

When in doubt, think about time travel conundrums. You'll confuse yourself so you can forget what you were in doubt about.

I don't know and I don't care one way or the other.
