To my credit I did actually put the dvd in and listen to the song. But sorry, not a clue.

It's been so long since I watched an episode that I have no clue either. But if you have a line of lyrics, gr8shadesofElvis, you can put that into Google, add 'lyrics' after it and Google will probably come up with the title and artist for you. Worth a go anyway. LabRat

Does anyone have the full lyrics? For some reason, I have the notion that the song was something very familiar and well-known when I heard it in the episode (though I could be wrong, given how long it's been since I heard it  ) If I saw the lyrics, perhaps it would jog something in my memory. No promises, mind you. <G> LabRat

You can get the episodes in MP3 format - if that helps? See here... I listened to it this morning and while I can make out the lyrics, I don't recognize the voice and I'm sure I've never heard the song before. I did lots of Google'ing and while I did come up with possible titles, I did not find audio clips or full lyrics for the songs I found, so it's impossible to tell if it's one of them. *shrugs* Sorry.

Actually, the clip you posted only plays a little part of the song, DJ. I downloaded the episode in MP3 and located the whole part that has the song in it. I'm editing it to just about over a minute and just need to find a place to post it and put it here so anyone can listen. It does have a lot of saxophone (I think) playing. It doesn't sound familiar to me, the song nor the singer. malu

Ooops! Sorry about that. I didn't realize there was more. I just remembered the music when Clark turned on the radio. I was thinking that was the end of it when the news bulletin came on.

Hmmmm. Nope...never heard it before. Gee, my memory sucks.  You know though, just listening to it, it's pretty generic, it's mostly instrumental and the lyrics are very few and not exactly memorable. All of which is making me wonder if it wasn't something specially written for the show rather than an actual song. It would be cheaper for them to do that - no royalties to pay to an artist for their song. So maybe it doesn't exist outwith the episode? LabRat

There's no mention of a song in the end credits - normally real music is given a credit (title, artist, copyright, info). Therefore, it's almost certainly a snippet that was recorded for the show. (And the voice sounds an awful lot like 'the cryin' man' Rembrandt Brown (I don't recall the actor's name.)
