A few people were talking about having a Caption Competition over on the Picture Quiz Thread. I saw this picture and HAD to start a thread for them. So lets see which of you guys can get a funny/interesting/poinet/ect caption for pictures. I'll post the first one, and then someone else can post another one after we have a few captions. We can either have the person who posted the picture choose which one they like best thereby saying who goes next, or we can just leave it up to whoever wants to. p.s. bethy- i didn't see it at first, either, but take a careful look at the driver's face. it's half-hidden by windshield glare, and partially obscured by the steering wheel, but the driver is clearly wearing a gas mask.

Bethy (who can't see the gas mask and wonders how others can...) I was confused for a time too, Bethy. But it finally clicked. It's an optical illusion and it's really just the passenger seat and some kind of clip (maybe the seatbelt clip) combined. But if you look long enough at the part of the photo just above the steering wheel and the driver's hand it does look as though the driver is wearing a gas mask. LabRat (still laughing over these captions... )

Two syllables.... LabRat Can I make a request when this one is completed and before a new one starts? With this thread containing pictures it's probably not a good idea to go beyond approximately the number of posts it has now. The more posts, more photos, the slower it will be to load for those with dial-up and slower modems and I was hearing last night from a couple of FoLCs already having trouble loading this thread. So, I'd like to suggest that after this one is complete, we close it down and start a new thread - Caption Competition Mk II. And then continue to start a new thread each time we hit 50 posts.
