I wouldn't be surprised at all if something like this happened. Maybe Martha could working at the nursing home where Sam is, or she could be working at Uncle Mike's restaurant. I could see either being a possibility with her caring personality and her skills.
Like some of the others, I'm also wondering about Lois lying to the townspeople of Smallville. Hmmm, what's coming?
