I agree totally that this is in character for Clark, and that after 7 years and all the torture and torment he has had, in being devalued as a person and programmed to think himself unworthy; it is a huge hole to climb out of.

It's tough to remember sometimes that much of his maturing must have been stunted by this whole experience, and while he would have depended on his parents to get him through before his imprisonment, he doesn't even have them now. No wonder at all that he feels so lost and alone, even though Lois is trying so hard to be there for him.

As usual, Corrina is writing powerful stuff. You have such a flair for writing the drama so believably.
