OK, I just got back in town late last night ( our flight was stuck on the ground in Detroit for over 4 hours--ugh!!) This was a wonderful surprise to come back to this morning.
I'm not going to repeat everything that has been said so far--because I agree and hate being an echo, but this part was truely wonderful and heart-rending. That ending was pure torture. The only thing that is keeping me going is KNOWING that they make it to the hospital.
