Clark is now a professional, his wardrobe will be pretty much the same, after all Lois was the one to point that fact out to him. But thanks for noticing such a subtle point.

Catherine is a good friend, who doesn't think this particular bit of news was for public consumption. After all isn't it bad enough to find out his girlfriend is cheating on him as she is showing off a costly wedding ring to a reporter?
