Clark has just met his Kryptonian father...and he's reacting very calmly. Maybe when they get out of Bureau 39's prison, he can react emotionally. Proof of alien life would be shocking enough - proof that his father is still alive should provoke a whole host of conflicting emotions. That would be interesting to read. Good story - looking forward to more.
Yes, Clark's not really emotionally reacting to Jor-El at the moment. But he's got a lot going on at the moment. He's got Kryptonite to contend with and Lois to keep alive. That's pretty much where his focus is, and, in fact, he's purposefully trying not to deal with his emotions toward the whole "dad's still alive" thing, so he can keep a clear head.
He'll get some time to explore his thoughts on Jor-El though...
