"Comments are love" and my comment is that I love this part. What a fun scene. You handled the numerous (mis)understandings between characters brilliantly.
And on a more serious note, I agree with Clark: Lane's parents will probably not be very happy campers when they return home; their little boy will have grown up so much in their absence. Granted, they should have had "the talk" with him long since, but even so, it will surely hurt them to know how many milestones in his life they will have missed out on.
