If you read carefully, I changed things a bit. I had Clark appear later than Lois would have liked. In the episode, she didn’t expect Clark to show up and defend her honor. She thought she was meeting with Superman, although he was acting strangely. The reason for the delay was he stopped a mugging. He would have done that in the Suit so it made sense for him to appear in the Suit.

Also, they suspect that Luthor is involved so they didn’t want to give the clone any reason to link Clark with Superman and possibly passing that knowledge on to Luthor.

We’ll see just how well that worked out, later.
