I really enjoyed the scene between Lois and Clark - completely agree with you about the trust aspect of their early relationship. Some of the best moments of season one definitely came from traumatic experiences like in Witness, or the hugs at the end of GGGoH or HoL. It's a just shame bad things had to happen to see that kind of interaction!
