It's interesting that Barry actually thinks that Clark is dead when HE knows that Clark is actually Superman and that Superman can't be shot. Then, again, Barry never was the brightest bulb in Vat class.
Oh, Barry knows full well that Clark is still alive. That will be abundantly clear in part 2.
