I'm eager for the next chapter to see who you've killed off. It certainly seems like it's Clark, but if it were him, might they keep him there until Lois got back so she could say goodbye?

What if Bernie and Sam got ahold of the life-sucker device that did part of the damage in the first place and sucked a year or so off each of their own lives to revitalize Clark? Or Jimmy (or Sam) could have volunteered some of his life-force, and he ends up dead because they accidentally took too much? But I can't actually see any of them doing that to Jimmy, even if he offered.
