Lois & Clark didn't influence the comics to get them married. It caused Superman to get killed off. The comics writers were going to have them get married in '92, but they were told to scrap their plot plans so that they could get married later at the same time it happened on the show. The writers were upset at having to re-plot everything, and one of them suggested, "Why don't we just kill him?" and no one could think up a better story, so they ran with it.
