Anyway as far as Douglas Adams being dead, if you read the Salmon of Doubt, there is an excerpt in there that shows how desperate he was to get a hold of the Disney execs to get this movie made where he leaves an extensive list of numbers including his next door neighbors and the nearest grocers where he might be reached, his thoughts being if the execs REALLY weren't interested they couldn't use the excuse "sorry, but we couldn't get a hold of you"

I was kind of bummed by the movie. I liked it, don't get me wrong, and I thought Marvin was great, especially the guy they chose as the voice, but the storyline didn't sync well for me. Would have liked to delved more into the "cup of tea" situation. "Share and enjoy" totally missed that.
