Well, actually the actor who played Mike was called "Bosley" in the Charlie's Angel series. And *laughs* as far as I know, there's nothing religious with the name "Mike". I could be wrong of course.
So, my theory is that just picked a name at random. Mike the guardian angel might as well have been a "Bob", "Johnny" or a "Bosley".
