I think the boards have definitely exploded the idea of fanfiction, which is what has made the archive grow tremendously since its beginning. Yay for the boards! I used to sit and wait for more fanfic to be emailed to me because there just wasn't enough - I'd read it all! (I used to have the whole archive read - back when it was around 300 stories and slowly climbing.
) Now there are over 3,000!
And I'm sure I'll never catch up.
