Wonderful! What an interesting way for Lois to find out. It's also an intriguing what if. But please tell me that there is more than this chapter to come. Or else write a sequel.

This is another interesting take on the challenge - anonpip's Inspector Big Mouth was, I believe, another response to the challenge. I like how Lois initially felt betrayed and upset, but soon straightened up and started thinking. I like how Luthor's own actions gave Lois the clue that he's a baddie. Too bad for Clark that he's just lost all his possessions; I hope Superman's globe wasn't at the Clinton Street apartment.

Really enjoyed your story! Lois' progression of thoughts showed her investigative skills in place and working; I liked how she put 2+2 together regarding the truth behind Clark's actions and finally seeing that Lex was the big liar, and how she realized she wanted to cover for Clark, especially with Lex. But More would be very nice! Any possibility of another chapter or follow up?

Delightful. Well done. If Lex had Clark under surveillance, she had no doubt that her office phone was bugged. Hopefully Lex didn't have her home phone bugged at this point. == I have all these delightful pictures running through my head of Martha and Jonathan's reactions to Lois's phone call.

Excellent story about how Lois could have discovered CK=S; however, I have to agree with the others that this needs a follow-up, or at least a sequel

Very nice. I liked the way Lois worked through the situation to see the truth that had been in front of her all along.
I'm surprised that Lex slipped the way he did on Clark being in the building. Then again, he probably couldn't resist a desire to be the person that told Lois that Clark was dead.
I was a little surprised that she didn't reflect more on the classic element that within a space of hours she told Clark what she wasn't interested and then told Superman that she'd love him as an ordinary man. That's the single element that I always expect for revelations that happen around this time.
Anyway, this was very well done. A follow-on would be great but this can stand alone quite well.

Nicely done.
It says a lot about Lex that he doesn't think anything about telling Lois that Clark was seen entering his home. He totally underestimates her.

I'm surprised that Lex slipped the way he did on Clark being in the building. Then again, he probably couldn't resist a desire to be the person that told Lois that Clark was dead. I knew from the onset that Lex was going to make his first slip there - He knew it was Clark's building that burned and there were no survivors. Why would Lex even know where Clark lived to make the connection? And so the light starts to flicker in Lois's head...

Well done. “Martha? It’s Lois… Look, I don’t know if Henderson’s been in touch with you yet, but Clark’s apartment building was torched last night… Well, if you hear from him before I do, remind him he promised me a man-on-the-scene story on Superman’s efforts in Indonesia… And let him know we have some things to talk about – like him not letting me know about whatever it is he’s working on that might make someone want to torch his building?” That was great wording there Michael

Hey get back here and finish this terrific story!
Clark: “If we can be born in an instant, and die in an instant, why can’t we fall in love in an instant?”
