Great job Katie.
I used to teach ballroom dancing -- and I explained that it was foreplay. You really made it that -- wonderful!!!!

Awwww, Katie, that was so SWEET!!! Lois' insecurities at the beginning were great. Her fears that she had lost her edge. All of the introspection was well-done. And then the dancing, and the declarations of love, and the SMOOCHIES!!!!!!!!!!!! So very nice, I'm glad you decided to share this with us! Jill

Whoo Hoo! Katie's back!
Katie, this is wonderful! I absolutely love it. I can't believe you hesitated to post this. This was beautifully done. I loved the way she realized that she could trust him with her insecurities. This is my favorite time in their relationship, when they are just on the verge of friends and lovers. I've always felt like there were so many times that had things been just *slightly* different, they would have got together sooner. Fanfics are our way of exploring these scenarios, and I'm glad you explored this one!

This was wonderful Katie, I'm so glad you decided to post it! I felt so sorry for Lois at the beginning, but when Clark appeared, and not Superman, it was perfect. /insert WAFFy sighs here Loriel

Well I probably won't have to worry about coming out of retirement. Many more stories like this one and I'll be killed by the sweetness. Nicely done, in that sugary, waffy, over the top everything is love and kisses sort of way. Tank the Diabetic (who figures with a steady diet of such sweetness most of the gentle readers will be joining him before too long)

Katie, How delightful of you to make Clark intelligent enough to visit Lois as HIMSELF, rather than Superman! Well done! One thing disappointed me: I kept expecting the story to end with a lovely little revelation along the lines of, "Let's dance.... This isn't dancing... This is." But your story was very sweet just the way it was too. Hazel
Lois: You know the deal. Clark: Superman gets the guys in capes, Lois and Clark get the guys in suits.

WOW! What everyone else said (ok, except Tank )! I was reading it and saying, "WHY didn't she want to post this?!?" Really nicely done!
Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Oooh, Katie! I'm so glad you posted! Happy, waffy sigh. This was so romantic and sweet. Lois's insecurities made a lot of sense, and her reactions to Clark's closeness were so very waffy! Lovely vignette! We need more Katie-fic, you hear? So get to work Kaethel
- I'm your partner. I'm your friend. - Is that what we are? - Oh, you know what? I don't know what we are. We kiss and then we never talk about it. We nearly die frozen in each other's arms, but we never talk about it, so no, I got no clue what we are.

Awww! This is a very sweet and romantic little vignette. I can't believe you didn't want to post this, Katie. It's beautiful!
Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique. Clark: You certainly are unique.
Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that? Lois: But I'm worth it!

I'm sure everybody has said this by now, but, hey, I don't think one can egt tired of hearing the same thing over and over if it's nice, so...
Just why did you say you weren't sure about posting this? Katie, this is beautiful!
I loved how you dealed with Lois and Clark's insecurities, mostly with Lois's. And the way she comes to admit her feelings for Clark... I loved your description of Lois's feelings, of all she is thinking.
And Clark's declaration of love was so... Clark.
This was great, very waffy and definitely beautiful. Thanks for sharing and thanks to the IRC nagging bunch for convincing you to post this.
Cris
PS. You don't happen to have any other vignette that you're not 100% satisfied with in your hard drive, do you?
