You didn't give us the tune, but, like Pam said, this works just fine as a poem.
The wife line was very apropos, considering the theme of the song (Clark trapped in the space/time window/box thing.) I liked it! The imagry of the lyrics kind of reminded me of the Moody Blues (am I dating myself?). Very nice! thumbsup
