Okay, FoLCs, here's the last chapter. Well, almost - I'm working on the Epilogue.  Please tell me what you think of this Part 26. I had fun writing it - I hope you'll enjoy reading it.  Ursie

Hi, Great part.  Very sweet. “Really?” Lois laughed delightedly, “That’s great! What did you say?”
“I told her I’d think about it.”
“Chief! You didn’t!” Lois gaped at Perry who stared back at her impassively. “But – you’ve always said you wanted to retire because of Alice! Are you telling me you jilted her? Perry! This is… this is…”
“Not what you expected, darlin’? Can’t a man take his time before he makes a major decision like that?”
Suddenly, Clark laughed. “Chief, stop making fun of my wife. How much time did you need to think it over – about two minutes?”
“Something like that, son,” Perry grinned back at Clark, “That’s how long it took me to find my tongue again.”
“You - speechless, Perry?” Clark teased, “That’s a first!”

Ursula WOW! This is wonderful. And Alice and Perry getting remarried! That's wonderful. Yay, Clark is going to stay at the Planet as well.  I'm looking forward to reading the epilogue. Tricia

Ooh! This is so cool! The first day I've posted this chapter and there are already four people commenting on it! You want this over and done with, right? Thanks Laura, Jose, Maria and Tricia - glad you enjoyed it. I was afraid that the last few chapters would fall a little flat after Mindy's arrest. I'm so happy to hear that you still enjoy this story, even though the A-Plot has been wrapped up. Jose, I'm still  Ursie

Thanks Merry, glad you liked it. No epilogue yet - still working on it. I'm doing my best to keep it down to 7 pages, tops. But it's trying to develop in a sequel. <g> And that won't do - that won't do at all! :rolleyes: Ursie
