December 1st to 3rd

I'm terrible at reading and leaving feedback these days. I love how Lois is the one filling the Advent calendar this time, both for Clark and their daughter eventually. It's great to see Clark skipping the minor Superman stuff for Martha.

December 1st
The Advent Calendar 1998 is off to a beautiful start! I like that Lois is doing this for Clark and Martha. The Krypton globe ornament was the perfect choice for the first day because that’s where Clark’s life began. What Lois wrote is touching.

December 2nd
Thank you for another wonderful fic! Fatherhood has changed Clark. In the past Superman would have been at the charity event. I like that he skipped a minor event for his daughter:

”She won’t always be this small. I don’t want to miss it.”

Clark’s analysis is spot on. He had a wonderful role model in Jonathan. He learned from the best! Thank you! I love this series!

December 3rd
Poor Bertha Avery! It’s good Lois is checking on her. She’s lucky she wasn’t seriously hurt when she fell.
The manger is very appropriate. Jonathan and Martha kept that empty crib for a long time. Clark truly was a gift from the heavens. Thanks for another wonderful story! I love this series!

P.S. Ghosts is such a fun episode. I need to watch it again.

This was lovely! Very touching! It’s good that Clark has Lois and Martha to come home to after a rough day. The lessons Clark learned from Jonathan will someday be passed down to Martha. What Lois wrote is spot on. Thank you! I love this series!

Thanks for another wonderful story! Its message is simple but powerful. ”…You help because someone needs it. Not because anyone’s watching.” Martha is wise. Clark learned that lesson well. He lives his life doing that.

December 6th
I love this! It’s sweet how Lois and Clark are so concerned about Bertha. Bertha is really taken with Martha to give her that bunny. It was sweet how Martha just reached for Bertha.

What Lois wrote is so true:

He learned that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved.

Martha is going to grow up feeling nothing but love. I think love is one of Clark’s super powers.

I love this story! What Lois wrote fit the day perfectly:

Lois touched his hand. “They taught you responsibility by giving you space to grow. You don’t have to carry everything alone.”

That’s just what Clark needed to hear. Just lovely! Thank you!

December 8th
Grandpa Perry to the rescue! I can just see him sitting crossed legged on the floor humming to Martha and shaking a rattle. I’m sure he was humming an Elvis tune. Perry loves his “granddaughter!”

Thanks for another wonderful chapter! What Lois wrote is spot on. Good deeds performed when no one sees them matter the most. They are done from the heart and that’s what Clark is all about. Baby Martha is learning that from both Lois and Clark.

Lois nailed the message!

”Your light doesn’t come from your powers,” she said quietly. “It comes from your choices.”

That’s beautiful! Clark chooses to do good regardless of the risk to himself.

That was lovely! Lois needs to learn that everyone needs support from time to time, even Superman. Just like she’s Clark’s hope, Clark is her support. They make a great team. I love this universe! Thank you!

Thanks for a lovely story! Lois and Clark are building something good. Perry gave them some excellent advice:

”Then you make sure,” Perry said quietly, “that when you are there, you’re really there. Every single time.”

Those are very wise words based on experience and Clark will take them to heart. I love this universe!

Poor Jimmy! To leave a break up note was cruel. Lois and Clark are right - Jimmy is a great guy and friend! A little Martha therapy can only help.

Sometimes being strong means knowing when not to speak, when listening is enough, when your presence is the only answer needed.

This made me misty eyed. It hit home with something going on in my life.

What Lois wrote for the advent that day fit perfectly with what happened. Lois and Clark are going to nail that congressman.

The ending was sweet with Lois and Clark lying on the couch with Martha lying between them. I can just picture that in my mind. Thanks for making me smile! I love this universe!

The advent note was beautiful- very touching! This sentence really hit a chord with me:

And sometimes, joy was simply this: sitting in the stillness after a long day, knowing you were loved.

There is nothing more precious than knowing you are loved. Thanks for the reminder! I love this story!

Clark teasing Lois about babbling was funny! Having a baby in the family changes everyone. I hope Ellen and Sam keep it up.
