"and the scent of burnt coffee hung in the air."
I always equate the Planet with
stale coffee, so I just love this variation. And with the kryptonite around, it feels like it fits thematically.
Lois glanced at Clark, then turned to Jimmy. “Clark and I will head to the university.”
Nooooo... not with the refrigerators full of kryptonite gatorade!
They stood in silence for a moment, the weight of the thermos between them like a warning.
SO ominous, I love it!
Clark stepped closer to the door, concern tightening his voice. “Lois, he told us to meet him. Maybe something happened.”
It's REALLY inconvenient that she doesn't know he can see through walls, lol.
He gave her a look. “Use your great lock-picking skills.”
This is a great idea!
A file, slightly askew, stamped with the bold, unmistakable LexCorp letterhead.
Literal gasp. I love a good Luthor-affiliation!
A strange green liquid spread across the tile, glowing faintly.
Oh no!
Chase’s voice was cold. “It’ll buy me time.”
Oh, dang! This sounds like a man with a plan B!
That it could enhance human strength?
Oh, that's terrifying. But also it totally makes sense that it could have a positive affect on humans if it has a negative affect on Kyrptonians. Interesting concept!
Just the soft metallic click as he reached into his coat and drew out a pair of handcuffs.
Hey! It's the other half of the title!
“Lex saw potential. I made it real.”
This is like a nightmare scenario!
The strange liquid from Jonah’s desk had spilled across the floor, soaking into Clark’s clothes, pooling beneath him like something alive.
Oh NO!
The doctor backed away, unsettled. “Fascinating,” he muttered.
Ooops. I hope he doesn't piece that together!
What a cliffhanger!
