This is an example template for a specific SuperWriMo Author opening post. Each time you do a SuperWriMo, you should make a new opening post.

As the month goes on, you will edit this post to show how you are making progress toward the stated goals. The comments can be used to interact with people encouraging you, share snippets of what you are working on, share struggles and get advice if needed.

Goals:

I want to write 15 days this month with a word count goal of 10,000 words. I will use the Sprint bot (on the L&C Discord Server) to help with free flow writing and just getting words on the page. Then I can spend the rest of my working time that day doing clean up on what I wrote. The next time I work will be the next Sprint and writing new content again.

Current Days:
Current Words:

Mini Challenge Goals:
Write in a coffee shop
Write in a Superman T-shirt (done!)
Write while listening to the John Williams Superman Theme
(we could use more ideas for stuff like this, feel free to post some below and I'll add them in)

This is the first SuperWriMo and we are still working out things that we can include or how to work stuff. If you have any ideas or suggestions, post them in either sticky thread here or hit me up on Discord!

We've been discussing how to use this space in Discord, and my idea is that it is like an authors SuperWriMo blog space. We chat a lot there, but given the nature of such things, it easily gets lost in the scroll.

These author threads are so we can have a dedicated space where that doesn't happen. You can post achievements (like how 90stvfangirl has made her weekly word count in just one day by using the sprint bot!) and struggles. And then you'll be able to look back on it and see you've made progress when days aren't going so well.

I'm also hoping that it can be a sort of social space, where people can post encouragement that doesn't get lost, so authors can read that again when they are struggling.

It's a space dedicated to the journey through this month.

Come hang out in the Discord server! Just make a Discord account and click this https://discord.gg/fv2bAVVUBQ to join. Discord can be a little intimidating, but we keep our server simple and are always happy to help people learn their way around!
