Initially I wanted to set finishing my current WIP as my goal for this months. But the way just sitting down to write has gone lately, I'm glad if I get anything done at all. So for now I'm setting a goal of adding 1000 words to the current word count, which is about 6300 words. I might have to delete a section that I'm not happy with, which means that at the end of the day, I should end up writing 1500 words.

Writing Day 1: I managed to sit down and write. Yay! The current word count might look like not much happened. But I deleted a scene I wasn't happy with and added the important parts to another one. And I like both of them better now, so I'd call that progress. Plus, I've managed to flesh out a bit of dialogue I've written weeks ago and managed to bring it a bit to life. So, even if the current word count is still less than what I started with, I can move on from now and that's not bad for a first day I'd say.

Thanks so much everyone. Managed two more days, writing half an our each and the dialogue I've been struggling with for weeks (so much so that I went back and rewrote the entire fic from 3rd person POV to 1st person POV) is finally finished. The rest of the fic might be a bit easier. Or so I hope.

The past few days have been a perfect example of why just sitting down to write has become so difficult. Most of the time I've been too tired to ever contemplate getting anything done. And then I saw the email announcing it's about time starting the online education part of my next workshop.
But I plan to dedicate some time to recreational purposes first, i.e. writing.

Real life is slowing down a bit and I managed to squeeze in some writing. It's still a slow process, but I have actually surpassed my goal by a thousand words now. And I managed to find my way around another stumbling block in the fic. Still hoping that once the action starts, writing will get easier.

I added another 1000 words, which means I've written more than three times of what my original goal was. After a long draught, the words are suddenly pouring out - at least they do until I hit the next tough scene. And fortunately I also managed to complete my online course for a workshop I will attend in November. So that means I'm mostly done with the things I have to do and have a little more time for the things I want to do.

Apparantly, I'm at 11,000 words now, which I would never have expected. The more A-plot-driven part is moving along well, though I've switched to letting the words flow just as they come and there certainly is much editing to do in that second section. But I have almost reached the finale and that is much more than I could have hoped for.
