Terms of endearment! How much better that sounds than Terms of estrangement. And thank you so much for coming back to us with the multi-part sequel you promised us!

As for this first part, there are two absolutely priceless passages in it. I just loved this:
Quote
Lois swallowed hard against the rejection-sized bruise mottling her heart.
Awww... frown

And I loved this, too:

Quote
Lois swallowed har, doing her best to focus on the red light in front of her. Difficult, seeing as how it was underwater.
Awwww!!! whinging

Well, the angst is ending soon, I think. But once again, welcome back, editor!!!! laugh

Wow! I haven't read Terms of Estrangement yet but I'm already loving this. Off to read your next installment!

Ursie

Lois: Well, I like my quirks. I think they make me unique.
Clark: You certainly are unique.

Clark: You're high maintenance, you know that?
Lois: But I'm worth it!

You guys are too kind, I swear.

Ann, you picked out two of the passages that grabbed me the most, too! Thank you so much for the feedback.

And TVNerd, thank you! I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying this little series. It's been fun to write, minus the nerve-wracking moments of self-doubt! But the comments I've gotten keep me coming back to the keyboard. smile1

Also, Ursie, thanks for reading, and for the feedback!

Seriously, guys, thanks for all your comments. They've made writing this "Terms" series so so so much fun.
