In this thread I am postulating a series of crossovers with the LNC cast. I have come up with a list of 128 characters. Most are memorable, but some not. Which are worth working with? Have I forgotten anyone? You can pick as many as you like. I have left off the obvious ones, Lois, Clark, Superman, Martha, Jonathan, Perry, Jimmy, Lex, Tempus, The Churches, Mxyzptlk, & Prankster. Whoops, put too many questions in but I am not about to retype that all. However, you need to answer at least one 'filler' for 11, 12, and 13. Sorry about that. (seems like everyone is having fun with the fillers ) Please by all means, if I have somehow forgotten one of your favorite characters, I do take write-ins. Second whoops, I do NOT consider myself a character in LnC. MR_D8A should read THE FOX (oy veh! Thank you soo much auto fill!) the character from Soul Mates, if you don't already know. (I am soo ) James

Hee! James, we've all been calling you "the Fox" behind your back for ages. There's no fooling the system, it knows.
Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.
Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right. Ides of Metropolis

I'm not going to live this one down for a long time, am I? I do find it interesting that as of this morning, only Rachel Harris has been voted on by all participants. I guess this poll could be a clue in to all the other writers as to what 'minor characters' the readers really want to see more of. Let's hear it for the East cost people and those Europeans that are early birds! With 8 voters, the results are interesting... 100% Sheriff Rachel Harris88% H.G. Wells 75% Catherine 'Cat' Grant 75% Lana Lang 75% Lucy Lane 63% Agent Dan Scardino 63% Constance Hunter 63% Dr. Klein 63% Inspector Henderson 63% Lady Loisette 50% Amber Lake 50% Arianna Calrlin 50% Baby Gunderson ??50% Ellen Lane 50% Jack Olsen 50% Mayson Drake 50% Ms. Duffy 50% Nigel St. John 50% Penny Barnes 50% Spencer Spencer 50% Tempus Tex 50% Tim Lake Ok, so I thought that Baby Gunderson was a fluke the first time, but so far, she is staying with the pack. Truly an unsung Character if ever there was one! And the following has fallen to the wayside...but not by much. 38% Dr. Maxwell Deter 38% Linda King 38% Lone Rider 38% Lulu 38% Wanda Detroit 38% Wandamae Waldecker James

I'm watching this poll closely. My goal: To wait until we have a least favorite character and then see if I can think of a great story for them . (Hey, what can I say? It's the little things in life that give me pleasure ) ML

Well, the results for the 21st is really narrowing things down a bit.
With only 15 people voting, only 10 people out of 128 are above the 50% mark. ( I may have to include a lower percentile level to have a larger sample for Crossover Challenge.
87% Sheriff Rachel Harris 80% Catherine 'Cat' Grant 80% H.G. Wells 73% Dr. Klein 73% Inspector Henderson 67% Lana Lang 60% Constance Hunter 53% Ellen Lane 53% Jack Olsen 53% Lucy Lane
For the top 75 percent, not including the already listed top 50 percent
47% Agent Dan Scardino 47% Dr. Friskin 47% Jason Trask 47% Mayson Drake 47% Nigel St. John 47% Vatman 47% Wayne Irig 40% Amber Lake 40% Clois 40% Lady Loisette 40% Linda King 40% Lone Rider 40% Lt. Ching 40% Penny Barnes 40% Ralph 40% Tim Lake 40% Wanda Detroit 33% Arianna Calrlin 33% Baby Gunderson 33% Diana Stride 33% Dr. Antoinette Baines 33% Jack 33% Jason T. Myzik 33% Jaxon Xavier 33% Lord Nor 33% Lulu 33% Martin Snell 33% Mike-Guardian Angel 33% Mrs. Cox 33% Ms. Duffy 33% Resplendant Man 33% Spencer Spencer 33% Toni Taylor 33% Victor 27% Asabi 27% Bobby Bigmouth 27% Chen Chow 27% Dr. Gretchen Kelly 27% Dr. Sam Lane 27% Jesse Stipanovic 27% Lois Look-a-Like 27% Lucky Leon 27% Miranda 27% Tempus Tex 27% Wandamae Waldecker
And for MLT's benefit... These appear in no particular order, except alphabetical.
0% Colonel Cash 0% Dr. Elias Mendenhall 0% Dr. Voyle Grumman 0% Dragon 0% Drull 0% Herbie Saxe 0% Mayor Frank Cerkowitz 0% Tommy Garrison 0% Wolcott

Cool poll, James! The only thing that kinda sorta bugs me is that I had to supply an answer for all the questions and there were 3 of them where none had any characters I'd seriously consider writing about... I still had to make a choice, though, so picked the lesser evil for those.
Superman: Why is it that good villains never die? Batman: Clark, what the hell are good villains? => Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Would the real Elisabeth, please, stand up? (We really are two married people and not just one person with a nasty case of split personality.) 0% Colonel Cash 0% Dr. Elias Mendenhall 0% Dr. Voyle Grumman 0% Dragon 0% Drull 0% Herbie Saxe 0% Mayor Frank Cerkowitz 0% Tommy Garrison 0% Wolcott Are you hoping to find the character nobody cares about or that nobody likes, because most of them are forgettable, but I really loath Mendenhall. Of course, a true underachiever would be able to mention all of them. (I swear, I've watched every episode, but I have no idea who most of those people are.) BTW, we rarely call James "The Fox", but he does have some other interesting nicknames... E

Out of curiosity - I can understand most of these omissions, but why Mxyzptlk & Prankster? I can't remember any Mxyzptlk stories in the archive, although there are probably a few, and I wouldn't have thought that there were a huge number about the Prankster.

[/QB][/QUOTE] Mxy and Prankster are both mainline DC Comic characters. That was my first reason for not including them in the poll, however and more importantly, once you post of of these dang things, you can't make changes to them! LnC's Prankster was used in more than one episode. Mxyzptlk was used only once, but was going to make another appearance in season 5. James

Why has Inspector Henderson not got 100%?? Am very, very shocked. Although... probably all those 'filler' checks are additional votes for Bill. c.

I didn't know that Cat Grant was in the comics, although I did know that Bibbo & The Ace of Spades were. He's the only human being to have staggered Superman.

Originally, I was going to post a pair up of the top {cough}some%{cough} of LnC Characters with a variety of characters from other fandoms, to facilitate this thread . Since that idea has changed, that pairing list isn't going to happen. However, I think that this poll has helped point out which characters are really liked out there and which ones no one liked. So, I am not going to end this poll, just in case there are those out there that still want to vote, but I will not post anymore updates after 1-1-2008 With only 24 voters... In the top 50% 83% Sheriff Rachel Harris This just amazes me. I never realized what a favored character she was. 75% Catherine 'Cat' Grant 71% Dr. Klein 71% H.G. 0% Dr. Elias Mendenhall 0% Dr. Voyle Grumman 0% Dragon 0% Herbie Saxe 0% Mayor Frank Cerkowitz 0% Tommy Garrison 0% Wolcott Okay, I need some help here. I'm not entirely sure who some of these people are. So... Let's see if I get this right. Dr. Elias Mendenhall - isn't he the doctor who was brainwashing people into becoming murderers in Forget Me Not? Dr. Voyle Grumman - no idea Dragon - isn't he the guy who became Secretary of State under President John Doe in Lois and Clarks? Herbie Saxe - no idea Mayor Frank Cerkowitz - no idea Tommy Garrison - isn't he the boxer from Requiem For a Superhero? Wolcott - isn't he Jefferson Cole's assistant in The People v. Lois Lane? Please let me know who these people are. Otherwise, how can I fit one or more of them into a story? ML
