It was with a sense of shock that I just read about the sudden death of Don S. Davis on Sunday. frown

Gateworld Obit for Don

As an actor, he brought such warmth, humour and compassion to his role of General Hammond on SG1. He was a large part of what made the show special for me. And I remember him giving a wonderful performance as Scully's father in The X Files.

As a person, he was obviously a true gentleman.

He will be truly missed.

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

Clark: "Lois? She's bossy. She's stuck up, she's rude... I can't stand her."
Lana: "The best ones always start that way."
