Oooh! Was that good or what?
Loved to see Martian Manhunter - he's so cool! Having a bit of trouble getting it out of my head that this actor played the crazy lawyer on Seinfeld, though (that character ends up with Teri Hatcher's character at the end of the series, actually *lol*)
And did Clark look just absolutely amazing or what? *dreamy sigh* At the end, in the coffee house, he's so cuuuuuuute! I would so have gone up there and snuggled up to him. awww!!
Ok... and did anyone catch the preview for next week? I am DYING! Totally. "Oh my God, I'm in love with Clark Kent." - aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!! Could have done without the marriage proposal to Lana, but.... SOME LOIS AND CLARK ACTION!!! YESSS!!! (I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell, I'm just so, so, so, SO excited!!!)
going to calm down now... pardon the interruption. *lol*

Darn, I didn't get to see that or Justice. The network here in the dorm where I go to school had up to Hydro, but now I can't get back on to see the new ones.
I think, therefore, I get bananas.

Bummer, Woody. I don't have anyway to do, but check around - maybe someone will record it for you.
I have to say that that psychiatric unit sure didn't look like anything I've seen... Even when I went to nursing school back in the late 1970's. (There I go again giving my age away.) But, never-the-less, it was a good episode. This season is so much better than last season.

It was a decently executed episode but it's one of those that make you wonder if Hollywood has any new ideas left. Are there any science fiction shows that don't have an episode where the lead is fooled into thinking his/her reality is imaginary?
Even L&C had its "Virtually Destroyed". Offhand I can recall Buffy having one of those eps. Star Trek:TNG had one with Will Riker who was fooled twice by an alien ("Future Imperfect", I think). Stargate SG-1 had "Collateral Damage" with Cameron Mitchell. I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I can think of just off the top of my head.
Next week's Smallville does look interesting but Lois is under the influence of something that makes her think she loves Clark. It's how they handle the aftermath of that that interests me. Does Lois still have lingering feelings afterwards? Is it like the pheromone compound that only brings out what's already there? That could be really fun. I just wish Miller and Gough could get over this Lana hangover and MOVE ON... It's getting really old.

Offhand I can recall Buffy having one of those eps. Yeah, and it was so annoying too--the ending was so ambiguous. GRRR. Haven't watched the episode yet, but it's on our TiVo, so I'll get to it--eventually.

If I am not mistaken there was a page over the intercom system during this episode where they page "Dr. Klien, Dr. Bill Klien". I actually got to see some of this episode. Wasn't the doctor's name at Star Labs Dr. Klien? If this is correct u can not tell me that was a shout out to LNC.

I think that was Dr. Milton Fine, who was Brainiac, played by Buffy and Angel alumnus, James Marsters of Spike fame.

Haven't watched the episode yet, but it's on our TiVo, so I'll get to it--eventually. Yeah, the Buffy one was annoying and was closest in comparison to this Smallville episode. Buffy was in a mental hospital for believing she was a vampire slayer instead of an ordinary teenager. And if she didn't get some treatment, she'd be trapped in her "imaginary" vampire-filled world forever. She chooses to take the hard road of being a Slayer again. Sound familiar? I can remember another one from Star Trek:TNG. This was actually one of their best, if not THE best episode of the whole series, "The Inner Light", where Picard lives an entire lifetime in his memories as a remembrance of a long-dead civilization. It took him "years" to finally give up on believing he really was Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the starship, Enterprise and was really a simple villager. Switching back to the topic of this thread, does anybody still not think Clark and Chloe are meant for each other? Geez, these two are perfect for each other if it weren't for Miller and Gough's obsession with Clana.

Yes, Chlark is a fitting pairing. In fact, Chloe Sullivan is almost perfect for what Lois would have been like during her high school and college years. And they're following that with Chloe going after a job at the Planet like Lois would have. Only problem is Chloe knows how to spell.

Okay, did this ep show why I'm a Chloiser? You can already see Chloe has the journalism down pat (with focus on the truth). Now you see the partnership between Chloe and Clark (which I love in the LnC relationship), and how, in his Zoner-influenced delusion/nightmare, she's the only one that believed in him or tried to help him. And Lois - her name wasn't even mentioned. Doesn't make her seem to significant to him, does it?
I simply see nothing in EDLois or the Clark/Lois relationship on Smallville to make me think of her as the Lois Lane.
I've heard the spoilers for next week - I will skip. It sounds just dreadful and awful and icky (keeping in mind I'm a Chloiser). Even if I wasn't though, I still don't think I'd like it. I hate love potions (nope, didn't like Pheromone, My Lovely, either, or Devoted, which had SV's last ep like this) and Clark all after Lana again.
Comments on what I know of next week's ep below
S P O I L E R S
I despise Red-K Clark, and now he's going to yell at Martha and Chloe and kidnap Lana - no thanks. Lois under a love potion and maybe getting a tattoo to proclaim her love - creepy.
