Anna, I don't have Yahoo Messenger, but from what you describe it looks like you're trying to connect through a server that is not undernet. When you get to the status window, type /server lelystad.nl.eu.undernet.org and hit the return key. It should connect you to irc. Then you type /join #loisclark password, and you'll find us.
