Does Mike have any hobbies? Is he into astronomy? Is there a favorite sport that he loves from which we can take term, possibly swimming to go with the Teal from his suit? Does he collect something? Other than Lara is there something in his life he's passionate about? Does he play a musical instrument? Does he sing, dance, paint, act, travel, something? Because, come on, he's a lawyer. THAT really can't be his passion. Why did he go into law? To help the environment? To protect children? To stop corporate greed? If he did it to earn money, which I doubt, why does he want the money? What are his hopes and dreams? If he retired tomorrow, what would he do? Find that, find what makes him special, and you'll find out why Mike is a hero and what kind of hero he should be.

Mike, after the Halloween party in Smallville, became interested in archery. He had dressed as Robin Hood and felt that he wanted to live up to that character. He spent many hours, after his daily chores were finished in a pasture, practicing.
He was also as a youth interested in farming, spending his summers with his great uncle Wayne Irig.

Torque?
Isn't that simply a property of engines?
How would that apply?

How would that apply? According to Dictionary.com Torque means: 1. Mechanics . something that produces or tends to produce torsion or rotation; the moment of a force or system of forces tending to cause rotation. 2. Machinery . the measured ability of a rotating element, as of a gear or shaft, to overcome turning resistance. 3. Optics. the rotational effect on plane-polarized light passing through certain liquids or crystals. or The tendency of a force applied to an object to make it rotate about an axis. For a force applied at a single point, the magnitude of the torque is equal to the magnitude of the force multiplied by the distance from its point of application to an axis of rotation. I just thought it sounded like a cool name. Does it have mean something?

I like Torque. In street vernacular there is "I'm gonna torque you off!" meaning "I'm gonna force you till you get mad." Artemis

Torque made his debut in Volume 6 Lori and Clark the New New Adventures of Superman.
Torque is the new resident superhero of New Krypton.

People are still going to get confused...

Guys are going to get it. It's a very common term, especially for car fanatics. Maybe this will help: http://www.physics.uoguelph.ca/tutorials/torque/Q.torque.intro.html https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque (this one even has motion in the illustration) [i]Torque has dimensions of force times distance. Official SI literature suggests using the unit newton metre (N·m) or the unit joule per radian.[i] Everyone uses torque in daily life whether they realize it or not. When you turn on your water faucet, you use the right hand rule in torque. Still, it is well known vernacular to "torque you off." (i.e. make you mad) Artemis

Hi Morgana,
If you simply think of torque representing force then the name that Mike Lee has taken is translated as 'Force'.
In regard to his strength, he is able to exert a lot of force, even on NK since he will have a double strength pendant.
