So after rewatching a certain movie, I got an itching to read some fics in which Superman is a patient in the hospital. Preferably the normal-people hospital, as opposed to STAR or a top-secret government facility, but I'll take what I can get. Got any?

Well, there is my And the Truth Will Set You... Superman - not Clark - definitely ends up in the hospital. Bob

Shayne Terry's Family Hour has a hospitalized Superman, but he doesn't get much "screen-time," as it were. I also thought of Dandello's "Death in the City", because it was an awesome twist to the TOGOM scenario. I know that there are more. Sue S.'s Honeymoon in Vegas has a hospital stay cameo, but again the story doesn't spend much time there - and he's there as Clark. Interesting. Everything that's coming to mind is a scenario where a hurt Superman is at Star Labs, or some other special research facility, like Shayne's Fugue 2: Fusion or somewhere else, like the brothel in MLT's Curiosity...the Continuing Saga . Interestingly, others that came to mind were the types of stories with Superman as a test subject. These seem to lean towards the dark side, like Jenni Debbage's, The Forgotten , Yvonne Connell's Purity , MLT's Yellow Fever , or the ever-mourned, unfinished fic by SmirkyRaven Darkest Dreams . But I don't think those were the kinds you were looking for... B

Iolanthe's Chocolate Lab has a wonderful hospital scene, but it's Clark who is the patient.

Dagger of the Mind has Superman in the hospital for a short time. So does Getting To Know You, the second story in my three part Mystery series.
I thought of them because I wrote them, but the scenes are fairly short.

Somewhere... by Poussin is a very nice story of Superman in a hospital after being discovered in Luthor's Green K cage. I love this story and can't believe I didn't think of it immediately. Bob

He doesn't go to a hospital, but there's a very WAFFy serving of hurt/comfort in Caroline K's awesome If I Were You . I second the rec's for any of Yvonne Connell's stories. She's perfected torturing Clark.
Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.
Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right. Ides of Metropolis

Rats! Sue beat me to it. Yvonne's series on Alt-Clark popped into my head a few minutes ago and I realized it might sorta, kinda fit your request. See Addicted , Damaged , and George\'s Big Day Out for some excellent, angsty, hospitalized Alt-Clark/Superman. B
