I've been searching through IRC threads but can't seem to find anything techie about sounds. I have downloaded the sounds, but I can't figure out how to point mIRC at the right directory to be able to play those sounds.

Can anybody help? (And I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know this. )

When I went to do that I did some searching and found this directory on my PC (OS == Vista):

C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Roaming\mIRC\sounds

I unzipped the sound file to there. I think that is where mIRC looks for sounds.

(But I have *never* done this before so hopefully someone else will express an opinion.)

You can also go into your sounds options and tell it where to look for them wherever you saved them. Hop into the channel and we [/cough/Karen/cough] can help .
