I'm looking for a fic... aren't we all I only have vague memories of one scene from it: Clark is recovering after fighting(?) with whoever the bad guy is (Lex?) and he's lying by a big window, and it's night/pre-dawn. Possibly he's been exposed to Kryptonite and he's waiting for the sun to come up. That's it. It's an old one, I read it a long time ago on the Archive. I've read and re-read a lot of the Archive, and I've not come across it again. Of course I might have imagined it. Which would be why I can't find it it. But this scene has stuck with me for a long time, and for my own peace of mind, I want to know I didn't make it up . Helga

That sounds like Carry Tiger to Mountain, by Debby Stark.

Hmm... that sound familiar to me too, Helga... but I haven't read Carry Tiger to Mountain. Maybe there's more than one? Sara

Carry Tiger to Mountain has him sitting by a big window soaking up the sunlight and healing, but not waiting for sunrise.
The small piece you've been able to provide as a hint isn't ringing any bells for me. I wish I could be of more assistance, sorry.

You lot are all stars. It is carry Tiger to the Mountain.
Thank you. I didn't dream it. Well, not all of it.

There's a scene sorta like that in Margaret Brignell's AltClark series. He's recovering from his run-in with Nightfall, and Lois is taking care of him...

Isn't there also a scene like this one in Chris Mulder's fabulous series: Love Beyond All Measure/ Dimensions of Loving? ML (btw, what's the prize if we get it right? )

Yeah, let's all get prizes! There's also a scene similar to this in my story Faux Pas: Clark had been captured by Trask and exposed to Kryptonite; Lois rescued him and they escaped together, but Clark still had no powers. The next morning, he's lying out on his balcony soaking up some rays to try to recover. Wendy

On the balcony? Hm. There's a scene at the end of Jenni's The Huntress' Revenge like that, only baby Joel is on his chest.

Did I ever mention balconies? Honestly, you lot would do anything for a prize. Aria won, it's Carry Tiger to the Mountain. I re-read it last night, and I'd forgotten how fab it is. I think when I'm reading her stories, I always go straight to the Dawning series, which is why I hadn't found it again... And Aria's prize...? She get's the satistfaction of knowing she was right Helga
