Ooooooooooh - intriguing! Very, very intriguing. And, nope, don't have any zingers to report.  Really enjoyed this first taste of what looks to be an interesting story, Diane. The perspective was fresh and I'm keen to find out more. Already feeling sorry for Clark. <G> And your writing style was easy to read.  More soon? Hmm, I'm dying to know what's going on here... good writing so far. Poor Clark...
And how well do we get to know Janice? It's really interesting to look at things through her eyes, given all that we know about "Maybe-Charlie" that she doesn't and can't even guess at.
