Hey all  In my current WIP I had made reference to Anna Nicole Smith - but I now realise that her fame comes too late for when my story is set in 1994. So now I'm looking for another name that would be instantly recognisable for similar reasons. A woman who would marry anyone for money and a life of luxury and is notorious for it. Suggestions? Thanks! LabRat

Marla Maples Trump? Anyway, 1994 is actually when Anna Nicole Smith married Marshall, so you might not be as off as you think.
Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

I think ANS would work fine but I remember reading somewhere that after Gene Kelly had a stroke his much younger wife put him in a home/hospital and would go visit him with her boyfriend.
