Anna,

Welcome to TOGOM rewrites! You did such a nice job with this. Really captured Lois's sadness, and I thought this was particularly poignant:

Quote
‘Little, simple things... was all it took. This was the way it always worked.’

Lisa mewed, as if she was trying to get Lois to understand.

One little, simple thing. Just like... forgiving him?
Also, you are the only author I guessed right!! Thank you!

Anna, this whole story was really sweet... poor, sad Lois. At least she had a friend this time! smile

I really liked her giving Clark a hard time for a while there before forgiving him, too - he really deserved worse, but she would only have been punishing herself, too!

Lovely! thumbsup

This was lovely, Anna - as CC noted, very poignant. Poor Lois. What an original idea, having her looking for a replacement for Clark. And, you know, for TOGOM fic that ain't easy these days. goofy

Lois sniffed and stared at Lisa for a moment. Her new friend.
Almost lost it entirely at this point. Huge lump in throat and could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.

But she got a happy ending. (What were the odds? <G>) and we moved from poignant to waffy. Wonderful.
