Aww, that was nice, if ultimately disappointing... but then, I want every fic to end with "happily ever after" <g> Anyway, I read your note at the beginning and was a little worried that this might be really silly/sappy/bad... but you did a great job with it. I loved seeing Clark making those little slips, and it's so Lois to have them go straight over her head. The whole thing flowed well -- there weren't any moments when it sounded forced. So... nice job! smile

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

thumbsup You already know I like this story! I think it's great how you got all those song titles into the story and still kept it so coherent! I love it!

I'll be back to write a 'detailed' thank you later, now I'm just here for a minute.

I wanted to apologize to Laura and let you all know that there's some credit going to her too, because she BRed this story very efficiently and when I posted I forgot to mention her. (I'm going right there to edit it.) Sorry, Laura! I hope you didn't think I didn't appreciate your help.

Thank you Pam, Laura's and Tricia for your nice comments.
See ya,
AnnaBtG.

Awww! Very bittersweet, Anna. Loved Clark the romantic, and Lois the cynic... poor guy! thumbsup

Anna,

This was great. So clever and really fun.

And I'm so impressed with how easily you worked the song titles in.

Nice job! You did a great job of weaving in the song titles. Not blatent or obvious; the titles felt like natural dialogue. I, too, was hoping for a happily ever after ending (or at least a kiss smile ) but this makes for a nice "in between" scene that stays within continuity. smile

As I promised, I'm back smile And, to be honest, quite surprised I got all this feedback. Not used to it smile

I'm very glad you liked it - especially because, if it wasn't for this sudden inspiration to check if I had anything unfinished, it would still be sitting half-ready in my hard drive.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback, Pam, Laura's and Tricia (again), Wendy, CC, Jose, Kathy and Ines smile Also thanks to everyone who happened to read it, even if you didn't comment.

See ya soon.

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.
