This story is moving in the right direction. Poor Lois really suffered after that last rescue! She had to control herself and Lillian from doing something that would both regret later. Not an easy task to accomplish, but they managed.

As Clark began describing his plans for the next three weeks of her life in Smallville, she tried not to think about the fact that Clark’s love for her didn’t appear to include their future beyond that time. He’d never spoken of them being together a year, five years, twenty years into the future, only the length of time her recovery might take.
Three weeks with the Kents will hopefully make her realize they are a loving family, but she would fit better as a friend...not a daughter-in-law. It is a pity she knows Lois and Clark's secret - that bit of knowledge is dangerous for all concerned. Hopefully she won't use that as a cudgel to force Clark into a closer relationship. One it should be painfully obvious to her by now that he does not want.

Speaking of fits, the description of how Lana and Rebecca shapes were not exactly perfect for Clark was very good. No couple matches perfectly with each other, but when you find the best one - hold on tight!

Lana was a very smart young woman, but her need for finacial security and her going behind Clark's back whenever it suited her could have only led to disaster.

Keep going Terry!!! thumbsup

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
