The portrayal of the commercialism vs. the voluntary community is still startling.
Good - because what we have here is normal to me and I really needed the help of Iolanthe, Deja Vu, and my daughter's Canadian friends to try to contrast the situation here with what others are used to.

Thanks, Michael.

Can't wait to see how Lois will act around Clark the next time she sees him.
I don't think it will be what you are expecting. wink

Thanks, Seme.

Lynn More coming soon. Thanks for asking!

Artemis Thanks!

Her assumption is that Clark found Esmeralda's charms better than her own and she's greatly disappointed. In him, and probably herself for her imagined lack of charm.
That's probably what a lot of women would think.

Ann

I have plans for Esmeralda!

Flat/apartment/unit - when I'm in Clark's POV, he still occasionally thinks of his home as an apartment.

The Fitzroy merger - What happens in the fic will be what happened in RL. That's about all I can say now.

Thanks, Ann.

DW Yes - Milo on ice cream is delicious - so you can eat it, but I couldn't resist allowing Lois to have a little fun at Clark's expense.

Thanks, DW.

Sarah Maybe Lois might think that Clark has gone to Esmeralda ... but maybe not ...

Thanks.

Elizabeth I'll get part 10 to you ASAP (tonight/tomorrow morning). I'm trying to write parts 20 and 21 and get them to Iolanthe.

Milo - Milo comes in a powder about the consistency of bread crumbs. It is made from malted barley, milk solids, sugar and cocoa (according to the packaging). It does taste chocolatey, but is different to hot chocolate. It can be drunk hot or cold, and, as DW mentioned, is wonderful sprinkled on ice cream. It is described as an 'energy food drink'. As Artemis said, it also contains added vitamins.
