It was a brilliant solution for Clark to admit to the half-truths and then use Alt-Clark's visit to his advantage. And by admitting that he bears more than a striking resemblance to Superman, he no longer has to fear his glasses coming off.
I hope you have more ideas rumbling around in your head, because I'd love to read them.
