It cost her something to admit all of that. I'm sure that Lois feels humiliated that she doesn't know how to fix everything.

Clark, on the other hand, is being so patient and gentle with her. He has known all evening that something is wrong, but of course he can't quite put his finger on it.

I wonder how many other people suspect. So far, I'm betting that she's getting away with it with everybody except her bestest friend.
