The others said pretty much all I want to say about this story. What's to add? I loved it from start to finish: I could feel Lois's pain as she realised what losing Clark means to her and the loneliness that hits her then. I really enjoyed Superman comforting her and showing more and more of his Clark-persona to her, up to the point where he kissed her and told her he loved her. It was such a Clark-thing to do, forgetting himself because he's so completely focused on helping her. smile1

Kaethel smile (not that evil after all! evil )

ps: Roger, yes, paying attention. At the moment, I'm focusing on a long-standing WIP of mine (barring a little vignette on the side) and as far as I know, Wendy is devoting her attention to her next epic ( jump ), but who knows what our Muses might decide one of these days? wink

- I'm your partner. I'm your friend.
- Is that what we are?
- Oh, you know what? I don't know what we are. We kiss and then we never talk about it. We nearly die frozen in each other's arms, but we never talk about it, so no, I got no clue what we are.
