I'm horrible when I'm writing my own fiction. This is very definitely a rough draft. I'll set it aside, pad out some of the exposition, and fix grammar and spelling (and punctuation) errors on the next pass.
I get into the writing zone when I'm doing fiction and quality control goes right out the window. Go fig.
